To set yourself apart from the competition, here are five tips to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code><strong>1. Master the Art of Telling Your Story<\/strong><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the most crucial tip. How you tell your story in an engaging and relatable way will leave a lasting impression. Study the art of storytelling and practice recounting your experiences in front of a mirror. While everyone talks about their experience, few can communicate it memorably. Improving this aspect alone will put you ahead of 80% of other candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code><strong>2. Become an Investigator<\/strong><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Thoroughly research the company by scouring their website, LinkedIn profiles, and conducting Google searches. However, it&#8217;s not just about gathering information to provide better answers. It&#8217;s about showing genuine interest. Hiring managers appreciate candidates who discuss the research they&#8217;ve done on the company. Share three things you found particularly interesting about the company during the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code><strong>3. Ace the Final Question<\/strong><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The last question in every interview is often, &#8220;Tell me why you&#8217;re the best candidate for this position.&#8221; This is the most critical question of the interview. To excel at answering it, focus on highlighting your uniqueness. Avoid using generic traits like being driven, hard-working, or a team player, as these are unremarkable. Instead, clearly articulate what sets you apart, what makes you different, and what makes you legendary. Practice this answer until it becomes second nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code><strong>4. Ask Killer Questions<\/strong><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview, don&#8217;t waste it. Most people fail to ask any questions or only inquire about turnaround time, training, or salary. Instead, ask three killer questions that demonstrate your engagement and interest:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>a. What is the biggest challenge facing the team today?\nb. What does greatness look like in this role?\nc. Can you tell me about your own career trajectory within this company?<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The last question allows the interviewer to share their experiences, which helps them remember you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code><strong>5. Communicate Your Passions<\/strong><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When discussing why you want the job, avoid the common responses of desiring more money, promotions, or opportunities. Instead, stand out by sharing your passions. Managers appreciate candidates who know what they are genuinely enthusiastic about. Explain how this position aligns with your passions and how it will bring you fulfillment.
